ABOUT THIS TRACK:

Traveling Shoes combines the hard-driving rhythm of bluegrass with some non-orthodox modulations and time measure changes. The lyrics, a rage against death, hit close to home for anyone who has had to mourn over loved ones that were taken away too soon.

That the fog was thick and the girl was dead and the trucker's got the blues
And a line appeared above my eyes on the day that she was killed
